Influence of Slag on Development of Chemical Composition of Inclusions at Vacuum Treatment of Steel in Vacuum Chamber


  The presented paper is focused on assessment of changes of chemical composition in dependence of chemical composition of slag. Objective of the work was to determine the extent of such influence. For this purpose samples of metal and slag were taken at various stages of steel processing. Samples taken from steel served for chemical and metallographic analysis of inclusions. Samples of slag were subjected to chemical analysis. All the heats were processed in the following technological flow: BOF - ladle furnace - vacuum chamber (ISSM) - continuous casting. Przedstawiona praca koncentruje się na ocenie zmian składu chemicznego wtrąceń w zależności od składu chemicznego żużla. Celem było określenie stopnia wymienionego wpływu. W tym celu pobrane zostały próbki metalu i żużla na różnych etapach przetwarzania stali. W pobranych próbkach stali przeprowadzono analizę chemiczną i metalograficzną wtrąceń. Próbki żużla poddano analizie chemicznej. Wszystkie wytopy przetwarzano w następującym cyklu technologicznym: konwertor tlenowy - pieco-kadź - komora próżniowa (ISSM) - linia do ciągłego odlewania.
