Optical fiber sensors are an important group of optical sensors. Combining high measurement resolution with broad measurement range, these sensors can measure accurately several physical quantities, such as temperature or pressure [1]. Intensity-based sensors requires only a simple detector, such as a photodiode, which increases sensor reliability. Optical fiber sensors offer contactless measurements, which is their greatest advantage. Moreover, as they use conventional, inexpensive optical components, their cost can be kept low.
